What SmoothSeen is
SmoothSeen is a website audit tool that measures visibility in search engines and AI assistants and delivers reports under the agency's own brand.
This page explains what it measures, the rules it works by and who answers for it.
What it measures
Two audits of every page, one for each reader.
- Search visibility
- How a search engine finds the page: crawling and indexing, speed and Core Web Vitals on mobile and desktop, title, headings, broken links, security and structured data.
- AI visibility
- Whether an AI assistant can read the page and cite it: whether its search crawlers can get in, whether the answer comes first, whether there are figures and sources to cite, FAQs with their markup and local business signals where they apply.
What the report does not tell you is whether an assistant has already cited you: it checks whether your page is in a position to be cited.
How it works
Four rules written into the code, not just onto this page.
One source for each figure.
The score, the list of issues, the action plan and the PDF all come from the same calculation. What you see in the dashboard is what gets printed and what your client receives, so they cannot contradict each other.1
Your data is yours.
From your profile you can download everything we keep about your account and delete it, without having to write to us.2
The blog cites its sources.
Every article carries numbered sources at the foot, linked to the original document, with its publication date and the date it was last updated.3
1What you see in the dashboard is what is printed in the PDF and what your client opens with the link: there is no second version that could contradict it.
2The download is a JSON file with your projects, analyses and brand settings. Deleting the account cancels any active subscription first.
3An automated test requires at least three linked sources in every article, and five in the main guides.
Who it is for
For agencies and consultants who present audits to their clients, and for anyone who wants to check their own site. On the Agency plan, the PDF and the share link carry the agency name, logo and colour.
