Online SEO audit: what your site is missing to rank in Google
An SEO audit checks whether Google can crawl your page, understand it and show it properly. SmoothSeen runs it online: you paste the address, create your account and get a search visibility score from 0 to 100, every failure with what was found and a task list ordered from most to least serious.

What it checks
What a search engine needs to reach the page, understand it and show it properly, grouped into the same categories you will see in the report:
- Security and trust
- HTTPS, security headers and email authentication. A browser warning costs more visits than any optimisation gains.
- Crawling and indexing
- Whether search engines can reach the page, understand it, and tell which version is the canonical one.
- Content
- What Google reads to work out what the page is about: title, description, headings and enough text.
- Speed
- How long the page takes to respond, render and react. LCP, INP and CLS are the Core Web Vitals Google uses for ranking; TTFB, FCP and TBT help explain why they fail.
- Technical optimisation
- Page weight: images, CSS and JavaScript that can be trimmed without changing anything the visitor sees.
- Structured data
- The markup that describes the page to search engines and social networks: rich results (stars, prices, breadcrumbs), the preview when it is shared, and the elements that identify it.
- Mobile and accessibility
- Google indexes the mobile version first. This also covers barriers that stop people using the page with a keyboard or screen reader.
- Links and authority
- How many sites link to the domain, the state of its own links, and whether traffic is being measured.
What you get
- Your search visibility score, from 0 to 100, with the detail of each category.
- Every failure with what was found on the page: the missing tag, the image without alt text, the speed metric over its threshold.
- An action plan with the tasks ordered from most to least serious and, if you measure your competitors, which of them already meet each one.1
- The report as a PDF and a link to share it with people who have no account.

What it does not do
It does not connect to Search Console or Google Analytics and does not track your rankings keyword by keyword. Nor does it crawl the whole site at once: it analyses the page you give it, plus what applies to the whole domain, such as robots.txt, the sitemap or HTTPS.
To understand the topic
Every search ranking factor explained calmly, with its sources.
Frequently asked questions
Is the SEO audit free?
Yes. The free plan runs the same checks as the paid ones and gives both scores, the summary by area and the first items of the action plan; the paid plans add the detail of every check, more analyses a month, the full plan, the PDF, the competitor comparison and tracking. You need to create an account to run the analysis.
What is the difference between an SEO audit and an AI visibility audit?
The SEO audit looks at what Google needs to crawl, understand and show the page. The AI visibility audit looks at whether an assistant can extract an answer from it and trust it as a source. SmoothSeen runs both in the same analysis and gives a score for each.
Do I have to give access to Search Console or install anything?
No. The analysis reads the public page as a search engine would and measures speed with PageSpeed Insights. It does not connect to Search Console or Google Analytics.
Does it analyse the whole site or a single page?
One page per analysis, plus what applies to the whole domain, such as robots.txt, the sitemap or HTTPS. To audit several pages, run an analysis for each.
Does it compare me with my competitors?
Yes, with up to 3 competitors per client, measured with the same checks as your site. The result is what they do and you do not, and what you have that they lack.
